HIMNO GRAND MALBEC

Himno is our top-line wine, based on the emblematic Malbec of the Uco Valley, with small additions of prime category Cabernet from Altamira and Petit Verdot from Tunuyán, which give it complexity and ageing capacity.

VARIETY

Malbec 85% - Cabernet Sauvignon 9% - Petit Verdot 6%

VINEYARDS AND HARVEST

Our Grand Malbec has been elaborated with grapes coming from our own vineyards, located in one of the most prestigious areas of Mendoza, en Los Sauces (Tunuyán – Uco Valley), at an altitude of 1.100 meters above sea level. Harvest was made during April, at early hours of the morning, by hand-picking in small 18 kg bins. Then, berries were manually selected as soon as they arrived at the winery.

TASTING NOTES

Full-bodied wine, with deep and complex aromas at black and red berries, ripe cherry and violet, with gentle nuances of vanilla, milk jam and coconut, thanks to the 12 months passed in first-use oak barrels.

AGEING POTENTIAL

Will reach its optimum in 3 years time. Can be kept over 10 years.

MATCHING SUGGESTIONS

We recommend uncorking the bottle at least 30 minutes before serving, preferably using a decanter. Optimal temperature from 16 to 18°. Himno is ideal on red meat, game, and cheese (hard and semi-soft).
